Pricing on custom work varies depending on the weaves and material used and the labor to make an item. A deposit is required prior to beginning a custom job.
How is chainmaille made?
Chainmaille starts off with rolls of wire. The wire is then hand wrapped into coils on a mandrel. The coils are then sawed by hand to make rings of the size required to do a particular weave. The rings are then polished, woven into chains or sheets then polished again. Once the chains or sheets are made, additions of stone or other objects are added to complete the design.
Are there any allergies to your metals?
People react differently to different metals. Most people have no reaction at all. Others may have a sensitivity due to chemical reaction (discoloration of the skin) to other symptoms such as a rash. Know your body. If you have an known reaction to any metal, ask that a different metal be used.
